• ★ Remove Driver side Factory bolt that attaches the trunion onto tailgate.
• ★ If this bolt is 3/8″ body bolt install the provided 3/8″ Ball stud at the base of the tailgate using thread locker. (Reference picture)

• ★ If your tailgate trunion uses a 5/16″ body bolt you will need to drill and tap the hole to accept our larger and stronger 3/8″ Ball stud.
• ★ Remove Tallight and taillight housing.
• ★ From the top of the tailgate trunion bolt (box panel side) measure up 6″ and 1/2″ back (reference picture below) drill a 5/16″ hole.

• ★ Attach our LS stainless steel support bracket with supplied M8 ball stud with washer and jam nut.
• ★ Using our bracket as a guide drill lower hole and attach the M8 button head bolt and jam nut.
• ★ Install taillight housing
• ★ Remove Driver side tailgate strap by grinding off factory rivet that attaches the metal strap to the tailgate latch catch.
• ★ Attach your Gate Saver with shaft pointing down.
• ★ Slowly cycle through the opening and closing motion to check clearance.
